Ferran Torres hit a hat-trick on Newcastle, contributing to a 4 – 3 victory, making Manchester City the winners of the Premier League, as well as securing them a spot in the finals against Chelsea.
Newcastle started off the game with a one goal lead, scored by Emil Krafth, but João Cancelo quickly closed the gap for Manchester City. This was then followed up by another goal from Manchester City, scored by Ferran Torres. Joelinton fired back for Newcastle, once again tying the game. For Manchester, Joe Willock scored a goal to put them in a 3 – 2 lead over Manchester City, to which Ferran Torres responded with two more goals, putting Manchester City in a 4 – 3 lead and finishing the game off with a hat-trick.
This game secured Manchester City a spot against Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League on May 29th. While it is widely believed that Manchester City will win the Championship, many are still holding onto hope that Chelsea will bring their “A game” and take home the win.
